Starting from autums 2025, I will be undertaking my postdoctoral research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, supported by the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship, awarded by the Azrieli Foundation, supports outstanding early-career scholars from around the world to conduct research at leading Israeli academic institutions. Each year, only 24 fellows are selected through a highly competitive process, with up to three fellowships awarded in the social sciences.
The Azrieli Fellowship provides generous funding, including a monthly stipend and an annual research and travel allowance. Beyond financial support, the program offers a robust framework for professional development, including interdisciplinary networking, leadership training, and participation in a vibrant community of international scholars
My postdoctoral project explores Relationship Initiation among Muslims and its entanglement with Geopolitics. This research investigates how romantic and marital relationships are initiated and negotiated within Muslim communities, particularly in contexts shaped by migration, state surveillance, digital technologies, and transnational religious discourses. By examining the intersection of intimate life and global politics, the project aims to shed light on how personal relationships are embedded in broader geopolitical structures and cultural imaginaries.
